Speakers: David and Ann Sparrow
International Executive Director of Leadership Exchange with Amped 2 Go
Bio: David Sparrow was born in South Africa and raised on a mission station in Zambia. As a third-generation pastor—his grandfather having migrated from London to Port Elizabeth—and the son of missionaries who served in Africa for 44 years, David’s calling was deeply rooted in his family’s legacy. He began his ministry with the Baptist Youth of South Africa, served honorably as a second lieutenant in the military for nearly three years, and later returned to ministry after a stint as a bank loans clerk.
After marrying his wife, Ann, David resumed his work with Baptist Youth before returning to his alma mater, Treverton College, where he taught while earning a Bachelor of Arts degree. He subsequently completed a Bachelor of Theology with honors, during which time he enjoyed a wide-ranging itinerant ministry serving various churches. Following sixteen years as Director of Christian Ministry at Treverton College, David and Ann, along with their four sons, answered a call to serve as senior pastor at Don Valley Bible Chapel in Toronto.
Since then, David has held several significant leadership roles, including National Executive Director of Interserve, Senior Pastor of Fair Havens, Transitional Lead Pastor of Hanover Missionary Church, and Executive Director of Transitional Church Leadership. Currently, he serves as the International Executive Director of Leadership Exchange with Amped 2 Go.
Today, David is passionately committed to leading others to experience Jesus as the source of abundant life (John 10:10b). His ministry focuses on fostering a vibrant, Spirit-led community where individuals and families can grow in faith and unity. David invites believers to embark on a transformative journey toward the cross and into the blessings of God’s kingdom, with a mission to glorify God and inspire others to live joyfully and purposefully in His love.

My Name is Jeremy Hetz, pastor at Nipigon Baptist Church in Nipigon, ON. I have been pastoring in Northern Ontario for 17 years and could not have done it without my wonderful wife Candace with me through it all. We love serving the Lord together and have 4 wonderful children whom we are blessed to parent.
I was saved when I was 17 at Hume Lake Bible Camp in California and haven’t looked back since. I had drive and passion for ministry after finding Christ. I went to New Tribes Bible Institute from 2002-2004, earning a Biblical Studies degree. I served at New Tribes Bible Institute from 2004-2007 before taking on the role of Pastor at Nipigon Baptist Church.
It has been a privilege to serve the camp ministry for many of my years in Northern Ontario, having participated in many weeks serving various ages. I am passionate about guiding youth and young adults in hearing about the amazing grace of Jesus. Jesus changed my life when I was 17, and through the camp ministry, I have been privileged to see so many lives change by the Gospel for the Glory of God. But by the grace of God, we are blessed to be in His service!

Lead Pastor, Northridge Community Church, Newmarket, ON
Bio: Born in rural Newfoundland, Pastor Fred Reid grew up with the Ocean out the front window, and woods out the back. It was in this small fishing village where Fred first encountered Jesus and heard the call to full-time ministry with The Salvation Army. With a heart ablaze for seeing people experience the love of God, Fred has dedicated his life to spreading the gospel and empowering congregations to embrace their divine purpose. Fred, his wife and their two girls currently live in Newmarket, where they serve as Head Pastors at Northridge Community Church. Fred is an avid fisherman, and hunter, and enjoys being in the great outdoors where he continues to experience the presence and peace of God.

Bio: Len Friesen is the National Director of Legacy Coalition Canada (LCC). LCC’s mission is to inspire a movement of empowered and intentional grandparents to engage in effective family discipleship so that future generations will know and follow Christ, and continue a Gospel legacy that outlives them. Len was born in Paraguay and moved to Canada at the age of nine. Len and his wife, Pam, have served as missionaries/Regional Directors with Awana for over 14 years. They live in Steinbach Manitoba, and have three children and four grandchildren. They are actively serving in both adult and children’s ministries at their local church and both have a passion for grandparent and children ministries.
