Think great food, a relaxed atmosphere, and family-friendly facilities with inspiring ministry and worship, all set against a beautiful backdrop of tree-lined hills, starry nights, and a sandy beach. No meals to cook, no traffic to battle, or pressure from work; it’s an escape for the whole family!
Join the loons on the lake for an early morning canoe ride, or just sleep in ’til the bell summons the crowds to devour our fabulous sticky buns for breakfast. While you’re enjoying morning chapel, your kids will be well cared for in the nursery program, enjoying skits, songs, and crafts in VBS, or being challenged in the Teens’ Class. After that, go for a dip in the lake, a paddle-boat ride, or see how many perch you can catch. Afternoons might find you water skiing or wakeboarding, enjoying riflery or archery with your kids, or trying out rock climbing. After a great supper, it might be our famous Penny Carnival, or a game of beach volleyball before evening chapel, and enjoying a campfire afterward.

WHAT TO EXPECT
- Prices include all meals, programs, and facilities – a small additional charge for tubing and water skiing.
- Linens are included, except in Cedar Lodge.
- Bring extra towels for the beach.
- Coin laundry available on site.
- Guest arrival is on Sunday afternoons with registration from 3:00 – 5:00 and dinner at 5:30 pm.
Family Policy Definition
Definition of Family for Family Rate Policy
For the purpose of JOY Bible Camp’s family rate, a family is defined as an immediate family unit consisting of:
- Parents or legal guardians, and
- Their dependent children (biological, adopted, foster, or legal wards) are living in the same household.
- This definition does not extend to extended relatives (e.g., adult children, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins) or to multiple households. Exceptions may be considered on a case-by-case basis with prior approval.

Family Explorer Camp – 2026
June 28-July 3, 2026
Families will attend a week at JOY and have the opportunity to give their young Explorer camper a chance to experience camp, maybe for the first time, with the comfort of knowing that the family is close by. While the Explorers enjoy their day camp program, the JOY team will provide the Family Camp experience for the rest of the family.
Day camp programming is available for children ages 6-10 years. An adult must attend this week of camp with their Explorer Camp if staying overnight. Explorer campers will not stay in a cabin with other campers but are required to stay in accommodations with their families.

Speaker: Rev. Shaun Turner, West Guilford Baptist Church, West Guilford, ON
Bio: Shaun is the Executive Administrator of Packer College and Lead Pastor of West Guilford Baptist Church. He is a retired military chaplain who served in the Special Forces, the Army, and the Air Force. His deployments included tours to Haiti after the 2010 earthquake, to Eastern Europe, and with Task Force Afghanistan. He is passionate about spiritual formation through the power of the Holy Spirit and will be speaking about knowing Jesus through the Gospel of John.
Shaun and his wife Amy have 4 children and have been attending Joy together for over 20 years. They are big believers in Christian Camping and have served in several capacities at Joy over the years.

Bio: Terry Sanderson was raised on a dairy farm in Southwestern Ontario. After graduating from the University of Western Ontario, he received a Master’s of Theology Degree from Dallas Theological Seminary with a major in Pastoral Ministry. He served 20 years in pastoral ministry at North Park Community Church in London. In 2009, he moved to the suburbs of St. Louis, MO, to serve as the Lead Pastor of Calvary Church. In 2022, he returned to Canada as Lead Pastor at Bayview Glen Alliance Church in Thornhill. Terry is married to Chantelle, and they have three daughters – Jenna, Jadyn and Jovanna.

Bio: Rich is the pastor at Stone Ridge in Hamilton. He’s been there wonderful 6 years. Rich and Shell have five kids who keep them well occupied. When there is time to spare, he loves Greek, Hebrew, swimming, and cycling. He’s worked through a few seminary degrees and is hopeful to begin doctoral studies this fall.
