About JOY Bible Camp:

JOY Bible Camp is a non-profit Christian Camping & Retreat Centre committed to seeing Lives Changed Forever through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We long for generations of people transformed forever; cultivating in others a growing, authentic, contagious relationship with God, deepening their roots of faith through service and love. For 75 Years, God has been at work using JOY as a place where people encounter Him, are equipped for Him and are empowered by Him to serve His kingdom.

The Board of Directors is currently seeking two (2) qualified applicants to fill open positions.

Your Role

We are seeking God-fearing, caring, committed, and generous individuals to serve as volunteers on the Board of Directors for JOY Bible Camp (3-year term).

After 75 rich years of Christian camping ministry, the Board of Directors is building its capacity to ensure a high standard of governance that keeps pace with the complex and evolving needs of Christian ministry as we stay relevant, biblically grounded and Christ-focused in today’s changing society. As a member of the Board of Directors, your role will include:

• Ambassador- to speak and advocate on behalf of JOY within your personal and professional networks, with current donors, and through social media

• Connector- to connect JOY with others who share a desire for Christian hospitality, discipleship, and Christian camping ministry

• Governor- to participate in the effective and successful functioning of JOY, working alongside JOY’s leadership team to set strategic directions, review policy, & monitor finances

• Supporter- to donate your time, talents, and finances to JOY at a level meaningful to you

Giftings

The Board is currently seeking diverse applicants with giftings in one or more of the following areas: finance, project management, infostructure/ site development, fundraising, marketing, or human resources.
